Founded in 1980, Voices for Children is a private, nonprofit organization, primarily funded by charitable contributions. It only costs $2,500 per year to recruit, train, and supervise a CASA volunteer. Every $2,500 donated impacts at least five foster children through direct advocacy and case assessment.
Voices for Children (VFC) transforms the lives of foster children by providing them with volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs). We serve the more than 10,000 foster children in San Diego and Riverside counties, and believe that every child deserves the chance to reach their potential. With the caring support of a CASA volunteer, a foster child is more likely succeed, receive vital services, and find a safe, permanent home. In addition to providing one-on-one advocacy to foster children and sibling groups, CASA volunteers review and monitor every court file in the court system. Voices for Children strive to provide a CASA to every child in the foster care system who needs one, and advocates for legal policies and practices that enhance the quality of life for foster children.
We thank you for supporting abused, neglected children in Southern California through our partnership with the S1 2016 All BU Managers Meeting. Your tax-deductible donations will remain anonymous, and you may choose to make a gift in honor or in memory of a family member, friend, or colleague.
